Job Descriptions

Childcare

One or two students for each shift needed to assist the LPGA Childcare Coordinator in attending to the player's children. Will be taken to the childcare facility by tournament transportation and returned at the end of the shift to the Corning Country Club. Must enjoy working with infants and toddlers. Limited Need.

Community Tent

Assist adult volunteers with package check-in, table clearing and general greeting of visitors. Hours will be from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Thursday through Sunday.

Driving Range

Assist in cleaning and carrying range balls. Requires lifting of buckets of range balls.

Exhibition Pavilion

Help with the interactive events going on in the Exhibition Pavilion located on the tennis courts. Hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Gallery Control

Assist with crowd control, rope replacement and ball landing locations on the course. Must be 16 years of age or older.

Runners

Carries information from one place on the course to another. Will be positioned outside the scoring tents. Will take scoring sheet from tent to copy machine to have it copied - then return to scoring tent. Please report 1/2 hour before shift is to begin.

Media Center and Caddie Shack

Responsible for the copying and overseeing distribution of the scorecards of the players and providing assistance to the runners as needed. Must be 15 or older.

Standard Bearers

Will be walking 18 holes with the walking scorer. Will hold up a pole with the scores of the golfers on it. An understanding of golf and scoring is helpful. Must arrive 1/2 hour (30 minutes) before shift is to begin and dress appropriately for weather conditions.

Ticket Gates

Greet spectators and distribute programs and tickets and operate gate/rope access to the course as needed. Greet spectators with a smile!

PLEASE NOTE: We have a special need for Student Volunteers/Classic Kids on Thursday, May 22nd and Friday, May 23rd. If it is at all possible for you to work on either of these two days, it would be most appreciated.
